Are Pet Stains Bugging You?

We never had more than three cats at a time, but The Magnificent Seven pictured above have lived with us at different times over the years.

On various occasions, they have graced our wall-to-wall carpets, as well as upholstered couches and chairs — all light beige — with various presents:

  • Hairballs galore;
  • Regurgitated cat food;
  • An occasional chewed up mouse;
  • Three poop-all-over-the-house episodes.

Also, one kitty had urinary issues for a few months and didn’t always make it to the litter box during that time. Luckily, he never peed on the rugs or furniture, but he did cause foul odors in other places.

We didn’t want to contaminate our septic system with commercial cleaners, so we needed to find a natural way that worked to get rid of the stains and smells. And we did!

My Pet Magic Story

Enter Snap Pet Magic.

Pet Magic has been a saving grace for us. It’s made from natural enzymes that eliminate stains and bad odors. We have found it very easy to use, and quite effective.

Here is what we do with kitty-induced stains:

  1. Remove solid matter with dry paper towels;
  2. Spray the problem spot with Pet Magic and a little water, and then let sit for a couple of minutes;
  3. Lightly press and tap the area with a damp paper towel so it absorbs liquid dirt and picks up any remaining solid matter;
  4. Repeat steps 2 and 3, as needed.

We learned the hard way that steam cleaning and Pet Magic do NOT go together well. If steam cleaning doesn’t take out a stain, the heat will set it instead, making it next to impossible to clean by any other means. Unfortunately, we had stains before we discovered Pet Magic, and we tried steam-cleaning them, in some cases unsuccessfully.

If a stain is fresh or relatively new, Pet Magic works like a charm. Particularly tough stains may require going through the above steps three or four times, but most stains will go away after just one or two rounds.

If a stain had been ignored for a long time, Pet Magic can still take it out, but it may take more than three or four rounds. We had some of those, too. They happened after we gave up on the steam cleaner but before we learned about Pet Magic.

Here is what we do with odors:

For urine on solid surfaces (such as hardwood floors, for instance):

  1. Wearing rubber gloves, wipe off any liquid with paper towels or throw- away rags;
  2. Spray Pet Magic on the problem area and in the surrounding air;
  3. After a few minutes, wipe off any residue with a damp paper towel;
  4. Repeat steps 2 and 3, as needed (usually, 1 round suffices).

For other odors, we just spray Pet Magic in the air or onto the problem objects, such as the litter boxes, and check back after a few minutes. If needed, we spray again.

Luckily for all involved, none of our cats had a close encounter with Mr. Skunk. (Actually, one did, but that was many years before Pet Magic.) We hear, however, that Pet Magic can take that odor out, too. Based on our experience with this product in all other situations, we believe it!

Our results:

There is not one kitty stain remaining on our couches, pillows or chairs. The only stains on the carpets stayed there because of the steam-cleaner fiasco, but even those were so faint when we were moving out of our first house that it was hard to see them.

When we and our three cats were temporarily living in a small apartment while our new house was being built, our neighbors admired the lack of a bad kitty odor. Could that have been the Pet Magic we have been spraying onto the kitty litter?

How does Snap Pet Magic work?

Snap Pet Magic uses liquid enzymes to eliminate pet stains and odors by “digesting” the molecules that cause them. It transforms the problem molecules into totally harmless ones.

The common uses of Pet Magic include:

Litter box
Spray litter box daily. Spray mist into litter box room to freshen air.

Feces, urine, hairballs
Spray onto feces, urine or hairball. Remove soiled matter. Spray mist into air to help eliminate lingering odors.

Spot removal
Spray onto spot until wet; allow to penetrate 2 to 3 minutes, rub with clean damp cloth or sponge. Repeat if required.

Skunk odor
Spray directly onto pet hair. Be careful around the face area. If this does not help eliminate the odor, wash the pet in a solution of 1 part Pet Magic to 3 parts warm water for 15 minutes. Be careful around the face, ears, and eyes. Dry the pet and then spray him or her lightly again for best results.

How safe is Snap Pet Magic?

Allergies to enzymes are rare, but if you are allergic, then, obviously, enzyme-based products are NOT recommended for you. Other than that, Snap Pet Magic is non-toxic and completely safe for humans, animals, plants, and the environment.

You can spray Pet Magic onto your rugs, furniture and clothes, onto your pet’s bedding or cage, and even onto the pet himself. You can also use it to make a deodorizing bath for your pet by mixing 1 part Pet Magic with 3 parts warm water.
